Messages From Grace

 I was musing on the beauty of a fresh blanket of snow this morning  and how snow feels like “blessings made visible”.    The first blessing is found in the loveliness of each individual snowflake in countless numbers co-creating the serene and fanciful scene that delights my   eyes. The blanket of snow calls me into a curl of coziness offering the blessing of extra rest, much needed after the last few weeks of stress   and travel, due to my mother’s illness.  Later, when the snow melts, releasing form, it will sink into the body of Mother Earth, blessing her skin, her soil, like the most nurturing of moisturizers. 

After the heavy skies yield their load of miniature art, the ensuing light becomes an invitation to enter into the miraculous landscape;  I caught this photo of the winter garb of a “burning bush” on the terrace, another blessing.  Gratitude…
